Amarae™ is covered by the Privacy Act and is taking all reasonable steps to comply with the Act and protect the privacy of the personal information that we hold. The Policy applies to Amarae™ and all its related entities.
Amarae™ collects the following personal information in relation to the individuals it deals with directly as clients and/or suppliers, or the individuals it deals with who are a contact person in client and/or supplier organisations:
- your name;
- date of birth (retail clients only, where it is necessary to ensure that we adhere to; the Liquor Act in relation to the sale/supply of liquor to minors);
- address and other contact details (telephone, facsimile, email, etc.); and
- credit card details for charging for goods or services supplied by us.
Amarae™ collects this information to enable us to manufacture and distribute wine. This also includes the following purposes:
- selling you our product;
- satisfying the service and delivery requirements of customers;
- contacting customers in relation to special product offerings, pricing changes or legislative changes that may affect our service; or
- administering and managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions for the company.
Amarae™ may disclose this information to:
- our insurer/s;
- mailing houses, for use with our mailings only;
- legal and other professional advisers; or
- government departments, but only when we are legally obliged to provide such information.
Where possible we will collect the information directly from our suppliers and/or clients. If personal information is collected from another party other than the individual themselves, then Amarae™ will take reasonable steps to inform that individual of the collection.
Amarae™ does not send personal information overseas without the permission of the appropriate individual.
Amarae™ provides access to you in relation to the personal information that we hold about you. All requests for access will be:
- treated seriously;
- dealt with promptly;
- dealt with in a confidential manner; and
- will not effect your existing obligations or effect the commercial arrangements between you and Amarae™.
We will provide access by allowing you to inspect, take notes of or receive copies or print outs of the personal information that we hold about you. Access will only be denied if:
- the request does not relate to the personal information of the person making the request;
- providing access would pose a serious and imminent threat to life or health of a person;
- providing access would create an unreasonable impact on the privacy of others
- the request is frivolous and vexatious;
- the request relates to existing or anticipated legal proceedings;
- providing access would prejudice negotiations with the individual making the request;
- access would be unlawful;
- denial of access is authorised or required by law;
- access would prejudice law enforcement activities;
- access discloses a 'commercially sensitive' decision making process or information; or
- any other reason that is provided for in the National Privacy Principles (NPPs) set-out under the Privacy Act.
We will take all reasonable steps to provide access within 28 days of your request. A charge may be imposed if the time taken to retrieve archived information is considerable but this will be quoted and agreed prior to the work being done.

Amarae™ is unable to deal with anonymous complaints as we are unable to investigate properly and follow-up such complaints. However, in the event that an anonymous complaint is received we will note the issues raised and try and resolve them appropriately.

Amarae is not responsible for damage to bottles of Snowein after they are posted. Couriers that we use cover the cost of damage and breakages to goods in transit. If any damage or breakages occur prior to delivery, please provide Amarae with all details so that we can investigate the matter and discuss possible compensation with the courier..
If you require additional protection, you are responsible for insuring the goods (this may be requested at the time of placing the order).
While every effort is made to ensure items arrive safely, Amarae will not be held responsible for breakages. If breakages occur when during transport prior to delivery please advise Amarae. We may find alternate couriers for future deliveries.
A quality service is important to us and it is our preference that your order arrives safely and in perfect condition. We need to know if the courier company is not providing a quality service to you.
Refunds are not normally provided. If there is a problem with the delivery of your order please email us at mail@snowein.com with the details so that our systems and processes can be improved.

By submitting an order you (the purchaser) agree that you have read and agree to the "Terms and Conditions" set out below.
In Australia it is an offence to sell, supply or obtain liquor on behalf of a person under the age of 18 years. You shall only place an order if you are over the age of 18 years. By placing an order you are acknowledging that you are over the age of 18 years.
If you wish to purchase more than 45 bottles you must supply your liquor licence number in the space provided on the wholesale order form (it is against the law to supply more than 45L to a retail customer at any one time).
The personal information which we ask from you is to assist us in validating financial transactions and to provide you with an efficient service (see our "Privacy Policy" for more information).
All orders are to be sent by either letter, fax or email. A return letter, fax, or email confirming your order will be sent to you when the order is filled stating when the order was shipped out, who the courier company is, and will include a tax invoice.
Payment can be made by cheque or credit card (mastercard, bankcard and visa only). Cheques must be cleared before the order will be filled, and shipped out.
